One day conference held by Reaching Out From Within, a reentry program in all KDOC facilities, highlights the success of alums while discussing ways to improve how we do what we do.
Reaching Out From Within 2023 Symposium
One of the many reentry programs KDOC supports is Reaching Out From Within. ROFW recently held it’s 3rd annual Courage to Change Symposium, “Rethinking Dignity. Reshaping Justice” in Overland Park, Kansas. It was well-attended both in person and online, including many DOC staff from both Kansas and Missouri, as well as other community advocates. There have been 357 ROFW alums released in the past three years. We heard several success stories as well as lively discussions surrounding the state of corrections & reentry.
